Morgan appeared in the Safe Sex for Men and Women informational video on AIDS Education and Prevention. Morgan donated a portion of her income for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraisers for the disease and also appeared in front of a specific Congressional committee about AIDS education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop asked her several times to assume his place in AIDS activities. She also hosted a AIDS Awareness Special together with news anchorman Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline together with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan received the Emmy nomination for a special episode of Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. Morgan was a co-star in ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife in springtime with Joan Rivers. She then started the summer by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It included Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Morgan then appeared in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also been the only actress to appear in the USA Network's psychological suspense-thriller, which garnered some of most impressive ratings the network has ever seen.
